I picked up this gorgeous sewing box in a market in Bermondsey. Designer hats sat alongside old telephones, china tea sets and books. The energy of the sellers and stall layout took me back to street markets in Laos and Thailand, where most of the fun was the thrill of bartering and knowing that you’re getting a super find for a snip!
I love storage boxes, chests and containers that are beautifully functional. If you’re a fellow magpie for all things shiny, it can get a tad overwhelming keeping track of where things are between the boxes within boxes and drawers within drawers!
The worst part is that you can end up forgetting about some of your favourite pieces. On the upside, a little breather for fave jewellery can make it feel fresh and new when you rediscover. This gem has done just that for me!
