It’s that time of year again! The joy of finding places for Christmas presents. My family and other half know me too well when it comes to gorgeous gifts! Candles, perfume, books, great mascara…and beautiful prints! I had a pretty good haul right?
Here are two of the latest editions to join the line-up in my flat. The first is a really cheerful shot of the famous Poolbeg Chimneys in Dublin from the fabulous Irish designers Clover Rua. These chimneys and the skyline that they are a part of is dear to me as they’re visible from my house at home and the sight of of them always make me feel happy.
The second image is a beautiful scene of Belfast Docks at sunset by Northern Irish artist Olive Duffy. Olive mixes traditional art, with vibrant colours, still life, Celtic and abstract influences. Visiting Belfast over the festive season and seeing this city continually evolve and grow is so great to see. It changes every time I’m back but the iconic things like the Samson and Goliath cranes at Harland and Wolff Shipyard are a constant. You can buy her beautiful work on Etsy.
I’m sure I’ll have collected a few more prints over the coming months to give another update on our increasingly cosy shelves!! Whoever said less is more;)
