I was on my way to Ropewalk Market in Bermondsey when I was stopped in my tracks by the gorgeous dresses inside Susie Stone’s British bespoke womenswear. I was with my Mom, a fellow style magpie and we’re always on the lookout for new labels and something a bit different. We couldn’t resist a look inside.
The main ethos of Susie’s brand is to deliver, quality clothing with a made to measure service. The timeless designs were stunning and the chance to have a bespoke dress is something that I dream of. Each dress is tailored to suit individual shapes and needs. I was particularly taken by the 1960s, Jackie O inspired silhouettes but it was hard to pick a favourite. Clients are encouraged to find what style suits them and wear it with confidence. For would be brides and guests, make sure to keep this little gem in mind for a truly one-off piece.
Don’t come to Susie Stone for throw-away trends or cheap material, come for high quality, luxury dresses that are an investment. I know I’ll be keeping an eye on this talented designer and in her words, ‘Know your shape. Understand your style. Look your best’. What great advice.
