The Arch Gallery

12th August 2015 by emily

I stopped for a much needed coffee near Bethnal Green tube yesterday and along with a cracking double shot americano, I came away having found a brilliant versatile venue called the Arch Gallery. It adapts to suit any event or exhibition and more importantly, it has the flexibility for you to make it your own.

The gallery gets its name from its space, a Victorian railway arch built around 1872 when the Great eastern Railway opened. It lends itself to exhibiting multiple medias. I could imagine flooding the room with friends and a great dj for a pretty stomping birthday celebration but let your imagination run wild. It seems to lend itself to fun.

It’s within easy reach of The Oval Space and Broadway Market and it’s nice to find a venue open to what you want to do in such a popular and vibrant area. A black-tie 21st birthday had taken place in it the night before, catering for more than 80 people. Fashion launches, creative workshops and art installations are a recent round-up of events. The versatility and mix is the best part of the Arch.

Oh and did I mention that the coffee is great!
