One of my favourite tube stations to walk out of is easily Old Street. It’s a place that I never tire of visiting. It just sums up London perfectly. With its many confusing roundabout exits, crowds of people and relentless traffic, there’s a frisson of energy on every corner.
If you’re a fan of people-watching, this is the area for you. You’ll see groups of friends dressed up for drinks on Shorditch high-street, busy office workers marching purposefully and slightly shell-shocked tourists, who take in the amazing street style, art and fashion with wide eyes.
Within easy walking distance of Hoxton, Brick Lane and Whitechapel, you’re literally spoilt for choice with the talent and density of street art.
Here are two of my favourite pieces from my recent wanderings.
