Arbonne, enhancing the skin body and mind

19th July 2016 by emily

Before
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3

I love nothing more than discovering new beauty finds and when I was given some Arbonne products to try out, it was music to my ears!

I wasn’t familiar with the brand’s ethos or range of wellness and skincare products, so this made for an even better blind testing of the brand. Between air conditioned offices, UV rays and a higher risk of dehydration, the last few weeks have been the perfect conditions to do a  trial run and to give my skin some TLC.

What’s it all about?

Arbonne was developed by Petter Mørck and his team of  biochemists, biologists and herbalists in Swizerland in 1975. By the early 1980s, the products and formulas then became available in the United States and have gone on to spread across the globe through a network or Arbonne Independent Consultants who will introduce products and answer questions.

What’s inside?

The brand’s  formulas are all based on botanical principles and are formulated without animal products or animal by-products or parabens. Most Arbonne products are fragrance free and certified vegan friendly. The range of skin care and wellness ranges contain lots of goodies for your skin like Vitamin C, Algae Extract and ingredients to support collagen and restore the skin’s natural elasticity and healthy appearance. I was really interested to road test the  RE9 Anti Ageing Collection and to see how the products would lift dull skin, target dry patches and inject some radiance back into my tired skin.

What did I use?

  • Extra Moisture Restorative Day Cream – with SPF 20,  aims to moisturise and protect the skin
  • Intensive Renewal Serum – contains collagen-supporting ingredients to firm skin and hold in moisture
  • Smoothing Facial Cleanser – a pearlescent crème formula to smooth and refresh the skin
  • Regenerating Toner – antioxidant-rich, pH-balanced to prepare, firm and lift
  • Night Repair Crème – boasts ultra hydrating blend of botanicals
  • Corrective Eye Cream – aims to diminish the look of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles

The results

I had three days to try out the products and as you can see in the before picture, my skin was in need of some intense moisture and hydration. I’m prone to dry, sensitive skin, so I was especially looking forward to trying out the Night Repair Crème and Extra Moisture Restorative Day Cream. I found these two products to have the most impact and by the end of the three days, my skin felt smoother and more supple.

I have quite a quick skin care routine in the morning so I enjoyed taking a bit more time to abide by the cleanse, tone, moisturise beauty mantra. You will see from the after pictures that my skin is brighter and more radiant by day three,  which is exactly what I was after. I was also happy to notice a reduction in dark circles and my skin felt smoother and more refreshed before applying my make-up. Why not give this brand a try yourself and let me know how you find them or get in touch with an Arbonne Consultant in your area.
