My first memory is of you.

The early morning light on a French campsite when you brought me for a walk.

I remember the feel of my towelling cream and yellow little t-shirt and watching water-spiders skate across the top of the pond.

I remember balancing on your feet and laughing, looking at your face down below.

I remember being happy.

I remember you.

Happy Father’s Day to the kindest, fun and most wise Dad that anyone could ever wish for.
