This shop is literally a delight. It’s a bit like stepping into a genie’s cave to be faced with an array of twinkling jewels and trinkets, not to mention a high-end selection of beauty products, clothing, jewellery and unique gifts.
The ladies working in the shop were as vibrant and fun as the items found in-store. A coincidence saw manageress Laurence (right) and co-owner Mandy (left) wearing the same colour popping orange maxi as you will see in one of the pictures! They took time to gift wrap items and talked with enthusiasm about products and merchandise. When I pointed to a beautiful framed print of Bellevue Parade in the snow by a local artist, I left with a postcard of it for free. What a nice touch.
What I really enjoy about this shop is the careful choice of products. There is a clear vision for Tickled Pink and this shines through its interior, atmosphere and merchandising. The shop opened seven years ago and the sister shop on Garret Lane for more than a decade.It’s the perfect place to stop by if you have a weakness for cosmetic bags, hand creams, necklaces or home-wares. I must warn you though – this shop could be dangerous for your bank balance!! I really liked witty slogans on products and stand out small labels caught my eye as I wandered around. A mug that read, ‘The older you get the better – unless you are a banana! and a cosmetic bag emblazoned, ‘Who needs inner beauty when you’ve got makeup’ were favorites.
A wonderful collection of jewellery sits near the till and is hard to miss. I was taken by a label that I had never heard of before called Edblad. I’ll most definitely be looking for reasons to stop by again soon.
